Hoopla jewelry is designed and created by Marlene Moody. Originally from Rome, Georgia, she now makes her home in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and two children.  After toying with many different art forms, from hairdressing to glass and furniture painting, Marlene has found her true passion in beaded jewelry design. Each piece is handcrafted of semi-precious stones, pearls, shells, wood, silver, crystal, and other various materials. She employs the techniques of stringing, knotting, and wire wrapping and is constantly experimenting with new ideas. Her desire is to create a quality piece of jewelry that transcends trendiness. Incorporating a variety of colors, stones, and styles, she creates pieces that range from casually sassy to classically sophisticated; corporately appropriate to downright sexy. All at an exceptional value.
